2006 Marine Industry CSI Awards Being Presented At IBEX

The National Marine Manufacturers Association's (NMMA) Marine Industry Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) program will announce recipients of its 2006 Marine Industry CSI Awards Friday, November 3, in conjunction with the International BoatBuilders' Exhibition & Conference (IBEX). Winners will be recognized during the IBEX Industry Awards Breakfast, held at the Miami Beach Convention Center. IBEX, which is co-owned and produced by NMMA and Professional BoatBuilder magazine, runs November 1-3, with pre-conference workshops scheduled to begin Tuesday, October 31...NMMA launched its CSI program in 2001 to provide boat and engine manufacturers with a independently-measured, cost-effective tool to help improve the quality of customer satisfaction in the boating industry...


NMMA Encourages U.S. Companies To Participate At Dubai Boat Show

The National Marine Manufacturers Association is organizing a USA Pavilion for the 2007 Dubai International Boat Show, taking place March 13-17 at the Dubai International Marine Club in Mina Seyahi. More than 250 exhibitors will be on hand, showcasing the latest in recreational marine vessels, equipment and accessories from local and international manufacturers...Middle East 's largest marine industry exhibition. Miami Media Tour Expands For 2007

Rhodes Communications, producer of co-op satellite media tours from the Miami International Boat Show, announced plans for an expanded event in 2007. "After several successful years, we are revitalizing and broadening the scope of the Miami media tour for 2007, picking up new distribution channels and adding a second tour," Jim Rhodes, president of Rhodes Communications, said in a statement. "At the same time, we are trimming our fixed costs, opening more cost-effective opportunities for boating industry companies to take advantage of this unique vehicle for broad-based national branding to an audience of millions." As in previous years the Miami International Boat Show media tours will be hosted by Dick DeBartolo, the "Giz Wiz" gadget expert and Mad Magazine's "maddest writer" for more than 40 years...
